    Job Description: Membership and Operations Manager

  • ORGANIZATION: Quorum, the Minnesota’s LGBTQ+ and Allied Chamber of Commerce

    JOB TITLE: Membership and Operations Manager                     LOCATION: Twin Cities Metro area

    TYPE: Contract/20 hours per week                                                WORKPLACE: (Mix) Work from home and regular daytime hours in the office

    PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinating/overseeing membership support services, including maintaining Quorum’s member directory and online database, mailing lists, email lists and donor lists
    • Membership prospecting/membership growth
    • Engage with community partners as a representative of Quorum at networking and other events
    • Support efforts to grow the organization through fundraising activities as needed
    • Support an on-going culture of improvement and innovation, focus on driving efficiency and effectiveness, including contributions to marketing strategy development
    • Coordination of networking events, educational activities, and community partner opportunities
  • EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong working knowledge of the LGBTQ+ and Allied communitiesØ  
    • Working knowledge and understanding of general database management
    • Strong verbal/written communications and member relationship management skills
    • Excellent customer service skills with basic sales skills/lead tracking
    • Moderate knowledge of nonprofit operations (i.e. planning, budgeting, finance, market research, etc.)
    • Driver’s license and access to a car OR working familiarity with public transportation
    • Positive attitude, willingness to take initiative, good problem solving skills and ability to work in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment
  • ADDITION PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Business and/or nonprofit operations experience
    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • Experience with community organizing, advocacy and fundraising
  • ADDITION JOB INFORMATION:

    • Compensation: $23.00/hour with the expectation of working an average of 20 hours/week. There are no health insurance/additional benefits with this role.
    • This role requires attendance at some evening /morning and (rarely) weekend events.
